Stop and think about this for a minute; before Obamacare, insurance for healthy young people was cheap. Even if men and women pay the same rates now, that doesn’t make it better for anyone if it is more expensive for both.
There is a reason women typically cost more to insure than men. For one, men don’t get pregnant. Second, the expenses that may arise when women get beyond child-bearing age, cannot happen to a man, we don’t have the parts which these expenses come from fixing.
Birth control is not a necessity, just say no. If a woman worries about getting pregnant and doesn’t want to pay for her own cycle regulating birth control, make the man she is about to have sex with buy a condom or he doesn’t get what he is after. Believe me, he will buy that condom.
How about we make it ‘fair’ and let insurance be as designed, insurance. If someone wants a ‘maintenance’ type program for the sniffles and/or birth control pills and such, let them buy that. If one wants insurance for a catastrophic illness or injury, let them buy that.
If you are already sick and don’t qualify for the cheap stuff, I’m sorry but why should everybody pay for your misfortune? Why not have a separate government plan for people like this or that can’t afford anything, you know, like the Medicaid we already had prior to Obamacare?
Obamacare cost more than enough to send each American a big fat check every year so why did they ever do this bad idea? Maybe, to get to the single payer program Hillary would have ushered in? Hopefully the businessman-in-chief will come up with something, Obamacare didn’t work and I don’t believe it was ever supposed to.
