Periodic hearings? I understand a hearing, one, singular, within days of apprehension. Are you an American citizen? Are you here legally? If not, forfeiture of ever coming back legally, put them on a bus or plane to wherever they came from! If they come back, prison. Mom, dad, kids, everybody. One strike you get sent home, two strikes jail, there better not be a third.
The way the system seems to work for illegals; if you get here, don’t worry, it takes forever to ship you back home. Instead of lengthy trials as to why they should be able to continue violating the law, cut it off. We need laws to protect our borders, and us. Not more ways for the illegals to skate the system. Make it tough so they won’t come back.
