Another article to consider when thinking of the Article V Convention. Read the quoted paragraph below, emphasis mine. Whether we like Donald Trump or not he is the president-elect and conservatives last hope to save our Nation from being lost to Progressivism possibly forever.
Conservatives would love to roll back almost all of these Progressive changes to our Constitution. Each of them takes power from the state and places it in the hands of a president ruling a monstrous federal bureaucracy who may as well be king. The 17th Amendment from 1913 at the top of the list. These progressive additions are the defects to our Constitution.
Our Constitution, designed to keep individual liberty at the highest priority by keeping the government as close to them as possible. Progressives would have a centralized federal behemoth between the people and their government. We must remember government is to protect us not dictate to us. We The People does not represent the greater good it represents each sovereign person forming a government by choice and only giving certain powers to the state and federal levels again, to protect the individual.
As the article below laments, we have had two elections this century decided by the electoral college, not popular vote, this really upsets them. What does this mean? The states with lesser populations came together to choose the president not the mob from the massive cities.
We could get into the big city public schools indoctrinating kids to follow their progressive teachings, suffice it to say this is their plan. Cattle are easier to herd than cats.
Indeed, the history of these changes illustrates how, through the centuries, people successfully lent their voices to constitutional change as a means of repeatedly democratizing the United States after discovering and correcting defects in our constitutional structure. Change after change opened our democracy to the disenfranchised, reinforcing and expanding democracy with each amendment.
