The draft, has such a bad sound to it, unless you are talking about sports. I believe everyone should serve, period. Israel has women serving in one of the toughest places in the world, why can’t we?
American men have historically looked at women as part of what we were to protect by serving. Men would think of a woman sitting at home waiting on them to come back from war. Those days are long gone.
If a woman wants to serve and meets the qualifications for whatever duty she chooses, let her do it. With this freedom to serve in combat comes a responsibility to serve in an emergency. Hopefully, we will never need a draft, but if, it is there.
