Assuming Russia did influence Trump’s win, what do we do? Why would Trump’s team provoke the intelligence community? What if Trump had an active part in this? What if one of his staff did? There have been other times in the past where similar has happened. Both South Vietnam and Iran influenced U.S. presidential elections according to Politico.
One must wonder if things were different in 1968 with Nixon and the South Vietnamese situation called criminal by some for scuttling the Paris peace talks to prolong the war, but wouldn’t this be the same if the CIA can prove it? Why was Nixon never prosecuted?
Criminal acts seem to go unpunished when it involves presidents or presidential candidates even with evidence. Is there some unpublished rule or hidden law? I guess we’ll see if the Trump administration prosecutes Hillary Clinton or the CIA manages to get something on Donald Trump.
