I have to disagree, Fox News was vital to Trump’s campaign, as was Breitbart.com. In fact, since they became Trump News and TrumpBart.com, they changed to the point I won’t watch or read anything from there unless I find them quoted elsewhere.
It almost justifies how the left felt about Fox delivering facts about Obama in the past, calling them Faux News, but not quite. They went from delivering facts, to pure opinion. Just think of Hannity, Eric Bolling, Judge Jeanine or a few others as they went Trump crazy early in the primaries. The power was only with a certain group of people, as it turns out, the same folks who voted for Trump. Many others, like myself were disgusted and changed the channel. Had Fox put as much effort into Romney, or McCain, many more conservatives may have shown up to vote.
Anger from the last eight years added to Fox News, Breitbart, Drudge, and a whole host of ‘fake news’ websites combined to fuel the fire. I call that power and Obama gave it to them.
